Our Story

Founded in September 2007, Aspire Port City Academy has proudly served Stockton families for nearly two decades by providing a high-quality TK through 5th grade education built on strong relationships, high expectations, and the belief that every child can succeed. As part of Aspire Public Schools, our school is dedicated to helping students develop the academic skills, confidence, and character they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Located in the heart of Stockton, Port City Academy is more than a school. We are a community where students are known by name, families are valued as partners, and every child is encouraged to discover their strengths and reach their full potential.

Leadership That Lasts

One of the things that truly sets Aspire Port City Academy apart is the consistency and dedication of our leadership.

For more than two decades, our Principal and Vice Principal have called Port City Academy home. Both began their careers here as classroom teachers, giving them a deep understanding of our students, our families, and the culture that makes our school unique. Their journey from the classroom to school leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to serving the Port City community.

Our Principal also had the privilege of beginning her career under the leadership of Anthony Solina, Port City Academy's founding Principal and now Executive Director for Aspire Public Schools in the Central Valley. His vision helped establish the strong foundation that continues to guide our school today, and that legacy of student-centered leadership remains at the heart of everything we do.

This continuity has allowed Port City Academy to build lasting traditions, foster meaningful relationships with generations of families, and create a stable learning environment where students, staff, and families feel connected and supported year after year.

Our House System teaches students the values of Courage, Responsibility, Respect, Perseverance, Self-Discipline, Integrity, Compassion, Empathy and Cooperation. These values are woven into everyday life, helping students become thoughtful leaders, supportive teammates, and responsible citizens.

Joy Is Part of Learning

Learning should be meaningful and memorable. From Town Halls and recess tournaments to surprise pop-up activities, celebrations, and school traditions, we intentionally create moments that bring joy, build connections, and make students excited to come to school each day.

Families Are Our Partners

We believe parents and caregivers are a child's first and most important teachers. That's why we go beyond the classroom by building strong relationships, providing helpful resources, and working alongside families to support students both at school and at home.

Preparing Students for Life
